When the District moves
into "advocacy"

Eleven former School Board
members signed this critique of the Red Plan.
Our objective is to get a vote on the Red Plan and or stop it in its tracks.
To that end:
The District plans on using
spending $13.7 million of the operations levy to pay for the Red Plan. Here's
the documentation.
Restore
our Schools is a new anti Red Plan organization.
Move
Forward Duluth has recently been formed to cheerlead for the Red Plan. NOTE
- For several months they have sent two or three people to attend School Board
to thank the beleaguered school board members for the Red Plan. Their website
has little information on it despite repeated assurances that they will help
correct the misinformation from critics of the Red Plan.

Five online "polls" by the Duluth
News Tribune demonstrate massive dissatisfaction with the School Board.
We submitted a
petition for a smaller building plan on the
ballot on or about April 4th. The District
let six weeks pass before acting on our petition. The State's Attorney General
took his sweet time handing down an opinion but it seems the District's high
paid attorneys were wrong. Update On Nov. 18th
the District's Finance Director met with Let Duluth Vote to outline how we will
issue requests for proposals to draw up a review and comment document for our
Plan B petition. Our plan should ultimately cost no more than $128 million.
