Oct 2. 2009 This website is two years old and a navigation nightmare having fallen far behind the machinations of the Duluth School Board in its attempt to keep the $437 million Red Plan alive despite a huge public outcry over the denial of a referendum. Many of the pages on this site have been entered as affidavits by the School District in a lawsuit brought against the District. The District claims that this website shows that Let Duluth Vote is politically motivated. Duh! So was the cry "no taxation without representation." authored by the founders of the United States. No Minnesota school Board has imposed such a huge burden on taxpayers without their assent. In fact, the Red Plan is the largest single school building project in Minnesota history. It is being imposed on a medium sized city with a rapidly declining school population. To give you some measure of the public outcry over this abuse of power 2,000 Duluth residents have contributed to Let Duluth Vote's legal defense fund. That's very nearly one in every twenty households who have contributed. You can read some of the thank you notes sent to Let Duluth Vote by these contributors here. The Red Plan has led to one outrage after another. Scroll down the long neglected old home page and to the feature called the latest outrage for a small sample. The long absent web master of this site has moved on to a new website where he will attempt to take the three quarters of a million words he's written about the Red Plan and roll it into a single book. He's asking for pre publishing sales from the curious and sympathetic to help fund its publication in 2010.
