Be thankful the Schools didn't use eminent domain on
564 homes
to build the Red Plan.

This remarkable information comes from a document that was given to the State Dept. of Education. It was never shown to the School Board. It says that to properly build the Red Plan the School Board would have to acquire an astounding 564 homes. This asinine figure was obviously used to bargain with the State Dept of Education.

The District only gave this information to Let Duluth Vote in December after we insisted that the public information JCI had gathered be made available to us. Dr. Dixon gave a speech at the January meeting making it clear that no further information would be given even if it would be used to make developing a Plan Be proposal for the State's review and comment much less expensive to put together.

The Save Our Schools website has the entire document that has heretofore been hidden from the voters of Duluth. This one is unnumbered but its page 63 on the PDF.

If you care about Duluth and its schools
don't put your faith in the Duluth News Tribune
The last word on the Red Plan can be found on Harry Welty's blog:
